Types of Calendars We Can Print
When it comes to custom calendar printing, the first step is deciding what type of calendar you want.
Wall Calendars
Wiro-Bound Calendars
Probably the most popular choice, wiro-bound wall calendars are wire-bound at the top with a little hook to hang them up. They can be printed in any size you want but are most commonly printed in sizes: A3, A4, and A5. This format is great for showcasing large, eye-catching images.

Examples of a Saddle Stitched and Wiro-bound Calendars
Stitched (or Stapled) Calendars
Think of these like a saddle-stitched booklet. They can be pinned to noticeboards or hung on a hook through a drilled hole. Saddle stitched calendars open out to display two pages at once, A4 size is the most popular and this can be an image on one page with the actual calendar part on the other page or everything on one A4 page, totally up to you and your budget plus we can print these to any size.

Printed Wall Calendar Layout Options
Whether you choose a wiro-bound calendar or a Stitched Calendar, there are two main formats to think about:
Traditional Wall Calendar (Two Pages per Month)
- Each month spreads across two pages: your chosen image on top and the month’s grid below.
- Printed on six double-sided sheets plus a cover.
- Pro tip: Because of the binding, image pages need to be set up upside-down so they appear the right way up when hanging plus will have to have a drilled hole at the top of the picture, but we can help you with this.
Traditional Wall Calendar (One Pages per Month)
- Each month has its own page.
- Printed on 12 sheets plus a cover and usually a backboard.
- A very simple and easy to design calendar format that is perfect for great graphics or for large spaces for writing in dates.
Flip-Over (Thumb-Cut) Calendar
- Each month is printed on one side of a page (12 months across 6 sheets).
- To move to the next month, you simply flip the page over.
- No page rotation needed, but the months must be in a very specific order. Supplied artwork needs to be very accurate on this – but again, this is something we can help with.
Stitched / Stapled Calendar Layout
Stapled or saddle stitched calendars generally have 28 printed pages (including the covers). Each month takes up a double-page spread, so when you open it out, you get the full design above the calendar grid with plenty of room for writing in your dates to remember.
Desk Calendars
Branded Desk Calendars are perfect for offices, sometimes called Tent Calendars due to their triangular shape, stand upright on desks with the help of a sturdy strut. They’re available in A5 and DL sizes, making them ideal for everyday use and subtle branding.

How Many Pages Will Your Calendar Have?
The number of pages in your printed calendar depends on whether you are going for single-sided or double-sided printing:
- Single-sided calendars: Typically 13 single sided pages, one page per month plus a cover (these can also come with a board backing) but can be as many pages as you like, some people like to add in a page for the following January or a full page showing all the months of the following year, handy for marking dates ready.
- Double-sided calendars: Usually 7 physical pages printed on both sides, one side per month plus a cover and often a year-at-a-glance page of the full 12 months, but again, this can be exactly as you want it to be.
